Description: To celebrate the individuality of people on the autism spectrum, Autism Victoria will hold an Autism Awareness March through the streets of St Kilda. Every person will be given a coloured balloon to march with, and at the end of the walk we will release the balloons into the sky. After the balloon release we invite you and your families and friends to stay on to join us for a barbecue, and don't forget your buckets and spades so you can participate in building sand castles and sculptures along the beach. All are invited to this free event to help raise awareness and celebrate the uniqueness of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Name: Foundation “Pentru Voi”

Description: On 2nd of April, „Pentru Voi” lights Timisoara up blue, through a range of events meant to raise autism awareness, organized as part of the global campaign Light it up blue.
- 27 March - 30 April: we created an event on Facebook and asked people to join the international action by doing something in blue, taking a photo of it and posting it on our Facebook page.
- April 1st: “Pentru Voi” staff will wear blue clothing at work to show their solidarity towards persons with ASD.

- The National Opera from Timisoara will turn its lights blue for one hour
- People dressed up in blue will be able to join the Autism Walk
- 150 blue balloons will be released into the air

Name: World Autism Awareness Week Singapore 2011

Description: In commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, Singapore will mark its first World Autism Awareness Day by staging World Autism Awareness Week Singapore 2011. The event is initiated by the medical students of the Benjamin Sheares College of the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore, and organized in collaboration with the Rainbow Centre, Pathlight School and Saint Andrew Autism School. The event, spanning 5 days, will begin with an art exhibition at the Pathlight School from April 1st to 5th. The exhibition will showcase the artistic talents from the school. On April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day will be celebrated with the event “A Continuum of CARE: Celebrating Autism, Reaching Excellence”. This event will be held at the Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School and will feature workshops will address key issues of interest to parents, games, performances, and an art exhibition by the students of Rainbow Centre. Concurrently, an Open House Community Tea will be held at Saint Andrew’s Autism School.

On Sunday, families are invited to relax and enjoy beach games, lawn games, kayak instruction, and boat rides at the host hotel, the Blockade Runner Beach Resort.  A mid-day seaside cookout will be available on Sunday, overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.  All activities at the park and games on Saturday and Sunday are free.

Jaap van Zweden, conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, will be there will members of his orchestra, along with two of DFW's Music Therapists. Art making activities will revolve around music as well.
